Research interests

The left image shows the ring system of SN 1987A, while the right shows a recent image of the collision between the supernova ejecta (seen as a faint blob in the center) and the inner ring. The bright spots show where the ring collision is already ongoing. In a few years the whole ring will be involved in the collision. Data from the SINS team.
