New summer course: Man in space

On July 17, the new summer course "Man in space" starts (given in Swedish).

The course treats man's desire to explore space and the possibilities and limitations of space science will be discussed. Past and future developments of space telescopes, manned missions and unmanned satellites are highlighted. The connection between science and technology in space science will be studied as well.

The teaching consists of lectures, with both scientists from Stockholm Observatory as well as the specially invited guest lecturers Christer Fuglesang, space expert Sven Grahn and professor Dag Linnarsson at Karolinska institutet.
